The rise in temperature in the cold climates of Switzerland, France and Belgium, to +4°C by 2100, will profoundly alter the way we design buildings and cities that will have to withstand this coming heat. What impact will this have on beauty? What architectural style will emerge from climate change? How can we interpret the fact that a rise in temperature will lead to a change in aesthetic values? And how can we accept that future architectural models in temperate climates will no longer be those of temperate climates, but of subtropical, arid or tropical climates? The symposium will invite some of the most interesting European architects of their generation to present their work and debate on the theme of “What architectural aesthetics with global warming?”.
